I was born and raised in Asheville, NC and in my 62 years I have NEVER seen such a disaster as this! My husband and I have Almighty God to thank for our home not being demolished and our health not being affected. I lived in Fort Lauderdale for 47 years and moved to North Carolina last year. I am very fortunate I am I was not affected by this hurricane, but I have never seen anything like this in my life. And I live through Andrew and Wilma and everything else, but this has been horrific. And now I see Florida may get a hurricane next week. I’m praying that you are safe. I’m praying that my neighbors are safe, this is absolutely frightening

My husband and I live in Augusta Ga. The devastation is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. We lost a dear friend when a large tree fell on her bedroom and crushed her to death. Please please keep us in your prayers. 😢

We were flooded by Helene as were our two adult children. I can tell you that World Central Kitchen has been in our area as well as others from our community. It’s funny that I’ve donated to them before and absolutely will again just as soon as I am able. Thank you, Patti for suggesting that people donate. Loved the video being longer Mz Pattie - could listen to u all day ♡♡♡ Loved seeing all the cool things u wanted to share. I also enjoy a stick cream foundation but the older I get, the less foundation I'm wearing. I'm enjoying a BB or CC cream with a good powder. Really liked the eyeshadow u had on today as well. As I'm in Scotland I've had to look online for Helene footage and oh my does mother nature have a temper!! Devastated seeing whole town just disappear. It's very very scary. My boys live just about a half mile from where the mud stopped in Lake Lure NC. My youngest lost his work truck with all his tools. I Thank God everyday, every hour that he wasn't in his truck. We have lost friends in this mess. No one would have thought that a storm 450 miles from here would cause so much damage
