Poll Reveals Surprising Result About What Voters Care About In The Midterms

"Ever since the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol, Democrats have persistently made the case that former President Donald Trump and his backers in the Republican Party pose a unique threat to the stability of American democracy.

Despite all these warnings — and the presence of hundreds of election-denying GOP candidates on the ballot across the country — voters do not appear to be treating perceived threats to the electoral system as a key issue in the November midterms.

It’s not that they don’t believe the threats are real, but they largely view them as less important than other problems. In a New York Times/Siena College poll released earlier this month, 71 percent of voters said they believe democracy is at risk, but only 7 percent said they view it as the most important issue facing the country."

I have lived it countries that are under Dictatorship, trust me Democracy is the most important thing Americans need to protect. If Americans can’t understand that Democracy is the the core of their Freedom, Americans will regret when they have lost Democracy from their lives!

Prioritizing protecting democracy is class related. For those struggling to pay rent, put food on the table etc. they don't have the luxury of being high minded about democracy, they are just trying to survive the day-to-day. And democrats are failing to address how difficult it is getting just to live.

I hope Beto wins here in Texas! I voted all democrat! Don’t have much options 😢. With that being said, I would have voted for Beto regardless of party affiliation. He is a good person period! Most important thing for me in political candidates are their approach to climate change, but now has to be making sure that I will have a democracy next year 🙄
