Throwback to when someone showed me kina. I fell in love with her songs even though i only knew three of them and understood just a few words, as a czech kid with a very basic knowledge of english. But I felt like I was such a big girl it was the first thing, that was MINE. Kina was the first non- czech artist, that I've listened to, that I haven't copied off my older cousin. It was just MINE. My tastehas changed a lot, but youtube recomended this video to me so I listened to it and I remembered so many things from that time and realised that I still remember the melody and how the lyrics sounded, not what they ment. But because my english got better over those years, I now got the songs with the meaning and I think that 9 year old me would be happy to know, that I now understand the lyrics and dont have to translate it lol

I first came by this song randomly on a playlist and I hadn't heard the original before and it was the first time in my life I had to go up to the roof, look at the stars and cry. I've heard a lot of songs about how girls are special and revered and stuff but this was the first time that I felt that someone felt something so lovely for me. I felt as if Kina was talking to me and it melted my heart and told me how much I needed to open up and how much I needed the love I gave away.
