As a SE Asian, we believe the Jinn world and its other name for it in my language it’s called “Alam Orang Bunian” or “Elves Realm”. One of my close friend got lost on a hike in a jungle before. He was presumably missing for 3 weeks, but when authorities found him, he thought he had only been lost for 3 days. He came out different. He was lucky. Other stories I heard whereby people that survived and came out from “Alam Orang Bunian” normally went crazy afterwards because of what they saw and the stories they conveyed sound unreal/surreal. But Alhamdulillah, these “Orang Bunian” are mostly Muslims in general.

If you’re a mountain biker and love trailing in the woods, I suggest you say Bismillah before you start your ride and watch your mouth while in there.

But this is contradicted by the Quran itself, which says:

“And of His Signs is that He has created mates for you from your own kind that you may find peace in them and He has set between you love and mercy. Surely there are Signs in this for those who reflect.”

There is a story from Umar's time, A husband leaves his wife and waits for years for the woman to finally remarry. Then the husband returned, was asked where he had been all this time and he answered that he was lost and taken to the realm of the jinn and lived there

Imam Malik is not our prophet. His words are not protected by the prophecy. His words can be twisted a lot easier than a prophets. Why do these strange people always need to go outside of prophetic narration?

Yup. This happened long before Islam came to Nusantara. Our ancestors were normally associated with djinn in their livelihoods.

Besides then marritual things. My grandma said back then (before Malaysia got independent) we used to borrow some items from unseen bunian/elf neighbors for our wedding event because back then we were so poor .. this is one of presumably famous cases that happened across Nusantara.

prophet muhammad pbuh said “humans are not able to see jinns or hear them” that is exactly why they are from the unseen world! Allah speaks of having belief in the unseen world in quran in connection of having trust in Allah

It's forbidden that human and jinn can marry

Because both are different creatures

In Bangladesh people are obsessed with jins and they try to control the jins for their own bs like the mushrikeens. So this topic isn't even abnormal to me, cause some people really wanna see them and marry 😂
