The most beautiful song ever written by an artist who was given a voice by the angels and who has so kindly shared that voice with us. Takes me back to 1997 when I was living in Florida and fell in love with the most stunning and beautiful soul. It could never happen as I had to return to Ireland and she stayed in the states but this song and the memories will last for eternity. My mind was blown hearing this at the Mirrorball tour in Manchester uk. Sarah is such a beautiful soul, she hugged me after the gig and this warmth surrounded me. I always felt an infinity to this song, esp live versions, but, this video of The Northern Lights effects is so lovely.
Around December of 2020 during lockdown I got close online to a guy I've known from a distance for 9 years, when I say close, I started to feel for him as more then a friend, but, as Sarah sings.... "Every time I'm close to you there's too much I can't say, and you just walk away, and I forgot, to tell you I love you..."

How on earth do you tell your best friend you're getting feelings?! ... I didn't! I just let him be, I was conflicted and unsure of what was happening in my head and heart so I did nothing. As time passed we grew closer, stronger and made an unstoppable and unbreakable bond, he got me! I got him! I found my person and it took me having a near death experience in 2021 to realize that if I made it through I'd have to tell him how I feel, that, I love him. I was terrified of passing away without him knowing this but here I am!

Why write this? Because life is too damn precious and short to hold back how you feel. It took a cardiac arrest and sepsis to make me realise this to the extent I do now.

If you have a special person in your life, reach out, speak your truth, don't fear the reply, be true to yourself and to the person, we get one shot at this so bite the bullet, pick up the phone, say those 3 magical words even if your voice shakes. Love is a gift, don't keep it to yourself, share it.

My person had a realisation himself when I was in hospital and I arrived home to a gift from him and a message telling me what I meant to him. I picked up the phone, hit call and BOOM... "I love you" ... the reply... "I love you too" 💗 I never expected him to feel this way but I'm so happy he does.

He is 210 miles away from me, my immune system is shot so I'm in isolation at home, but somehow every day we navigate our way through this thing called love "The world around us disappears, it's just you and me, on my island of hope"
