Okay so, SW can definitely defeat Superman, Thanos is basically the Superman from MCU and Wanda (base form) almost defeats him. Here’s why

1. Superman is vulnerable to magic, all kryptonians are, you can see why supergirl is weak against Cheetah.

2. Superman may be strong, but scarlet witch is powerful. She can erase Clark/Superman if she wants to.

3. Wanda/SW is so much powerful when she is mind unstable, we saw that on MoM and WandaVision.

4. Wanda/SW has too many abilities, powers and feats that can be easily for her to beat Superman.

5. On a comic, Agatha Harkness compared Wanda Maximoff/SW to a level of power similar to the Living Tribunal (one of the most powerful and indestructible entities on Marvel Comics)

6. Superman has proved that he’s strong, yeah, he is super strong, he can easily give Wanda/SW a hard battle.
