In our pub league, only chalking allowed. It forces as a team to check math of scorer and keep the reinforcement of the math calculations. Some players who are intimidated keep score and get better by scoring overall. All in the league put emphasis on math.

For some reason when I practice I keep score in my head. I count up for the first 9 darts then subtract. I have no idea why I do this

Always had teammates that struggled when scoring games.
A good way to learn and to help quick mental recognition is to think "10's, 1's & 0's"
Also, it's much easier sometimes to subtract 0's then add. Example: you have 147 left and hit 98. Do the easy math...subtract 100 and add 2

Another top video mate. Biggest help for me was the games on TV like you said. I'm not exactly Rachael Riley but watching it on TV for years is what made me be able to count at a respectable level. Just don't take much notice when Mensur plays 😂 Never know where he's going.

Is there an app that gives you two typical darts numbers to subtract, like when scoring. And adding 3 random darts related scores for practice?

Idea... Make spreadsheet where You will write what you need to score at each number, with explanation why. It will help me and other beginners...

For the 117 example I would go 57 single 20 then double 20

Hey partner....really good video. Helps to win matches when you are playing in rythm without having to stop and work out the math and pick a target. I would really like to hear your thoughts on my research. I think an implied thought in your video is that amateurs should be aiming at the same out targets. I do believe this can really cost the amateur for certain outs. Anyway, would love to hear your thoughts bro. Keep up the great work.
