In this episode of Newshour 9, G Madhavdas will be deliberating hard allegations made by Congress MLA Akhanda Murthy on the grand old party. Akhanda who represented Congress in the Karnataka assembly resigned from the party and assembly after Congress denied him a ticket for the upcoming elections. Notably, his house was burnt during the deadly Bengaluru riots. However, after their resignation, Akhanda made some shocking charges against Congress and hinted that the party choose appeasement over him. "If Akhanda Murthy has a grievance, there's a forum in the party for the recourse", says Sanket Yenagi of Congress. "Akhanda Murthy was a Dalit leader from Congress. This shows how Congress treats their Dalit leaders, they use them just for vote bank", BJP leader T Sankeerth rebuts. "Akhanda Murthy was always into faceoffs with Congress President or state party president", says Anurag Naidu. "This is an injustice to the Dalit leader", says JDS' Pratap Kanagal.
