*Do not do this on a New 3DS you have downgraded to 2.1* - You will hardbrick.
*Do not reset system settings if you have a 2DS downgraded to 2.1* - You will get stuck on the "Activate 3D" screen.

Either one of those two scenarios will result in you having to reflash your 3DS from a backup via hardmod.

(edit: wow thanks for the heart. I bought an used classic 3ds and I updated it so I could enter into the eshop. What's my surprise the other owner of the system had installed Luma so I ran into a lot of problems trying to uninstall it and install the official firmware. Recovery mode opens up for me and installs the updater to some extent, then it says there's an error, any help?

I need some help here, my 3ds doesnt turn on without my file on the sd and when i do it boots on the OFW saying that there is no sd card inserted

I finally figured it out and I felt so stupid lol. The reason my 3ds Wont boot is because I was suppose to take out the sd card to successfully boot it while in 2.1.0 XD I've been booting with the sd card in slot and I thought I bricked it I almost cry

Thank you so much! I modded my ds then realised I didn't have a full backup and it got bricked. It came up with an error first time
but then I took out the microsd, did it and it worked
then i put my microsd back and it was fine :)

I did this, the recovery mode screen popped up but it does not return to normal. After I turn it back on again it’s a completely black screen. No blue screen before at all.

I can update, but it won't boot into os. Never installed CFW
