My biggest pet peeve is having to defend not wearing polish seasonally. I am not hurting anyone by wearing a neon in January to boost spirits when it is cold or wear autumnal colors anytime of year because they are my favorite. It is nail polish…wear what makes you happy regardless of the date.

My biggest pet peeve is when the polish doesn’t match the swatch photos and the polish doesn’t live up to my expectations 😅

One of my pet peeves is when brands don’t label when a polish is magnetic or thermal. So annoying!
Another is when a swatcher says a polish needs 3 coats but only swatch it in 2!

On #2, I’m convinced that they don’t know about clean up brushes. A lot of people, not deep into nail polish, ask me how I paint so perfectly. I tell them about clean up brushes and they had no idea that’s what we do. 😂😂😂

I think the dupes are needed because not everyone has been collecting for several years. I started collecting indies Aug 2022 so there are many polishes I have missed out on. But I do agree that I don’t need 50 reds from OPI 😅

I totally get the “You have no polish on!” thing. I have had no time and I have been so down lately so it just hasn’t been happening. One of my pet peeves is when people call a base color undies 😂 so silly but there it is.

I like when everyone covers the same collection. If it's a collection I'm interested in, I watch them all; if I'm not interested, I don't watch any of them 😂. It helps that I never buy anything as soon as it comes out, so it's worth my time to see how they look on different skin tones & how people are liking them.

I don't like rage bait thumbnails and titles, where the creator has a sour face on the thumbnail and a negative title, and then they only have mild criticisms and the nail polish is fine. I know that's how the algorithm works, but I click on those despite the thumbnail, not because of it.

LMAO when you were talking about the dishwasher being 95% done and just wandering away, I was like "that sounds like me with my ADHD" and then you said he has ADHD lolll but no I agree on the pre-cleanup manis, that honestly is my number one pet peeve I think. Even when my friends post on their snapchat or insta stories and it's their nails done but it's the messiest application, I'm like PLEASE GET A CLEANUP BRUSH I BEG YOU LOVINGLY!!! IT CHANGED MY LIFE IT WILL CHANGE YOURS TOO. i will say though I also struggle with making the cuticle gap a lil too wide but idk how to.. not lmao.

also (editing while watching video lol) for me the PPU theme adherence reminds me of your similar critiques with the IP just to IP sometimes, like sometimes I look at the PPU choices and I'm thinking to myself "this has nothing to do with what the theme is and what you named it, it seems like you just stuck a random name on a random color you made" or it's the same color they've been making but slightly different with a random "themed" name slapped onto it. like please if you're gonna do it, just go all the way lmao

my pet peeve is when content creators do too many strokes while swatching polishes. i think it messes with the finish and makes it inaccurate

When it comes to me and when there is a lot of uploads over the same subject, I usually watch one or two and then take a step back and watch something else.

A lot of times I don't end up coming back to said videos because they don't really bring in new information unless new info comes out (like drama videos) but it's a little different with polish and makeup. Usually, I will watch multiple videos over the same collection, but mainly to see how it's swatched or to see how it looks against their skin tone.

I also really like when a lot of people do PPU/HHC for that month because then I can see what is popular and what everyone's tastes are.

I hate when people give unsolicited advice on how to remove staining from natural nails every time someone with stained nails posts. Unless they asked, they’re probably not interested in removing the stains.

It's the reason why I didn't watch Midsommar and Hereditary until this year because I wanted the hype to go down. I ended up loving both though!

- getting inspired by seasonal nail content from the opposite hemisphere
- HoloTaco collection mood boards being far too literal but the inspo images aren’t quite on theme

I dont like to warch videos where they use a swatch wheel. Anyone can di that and color isnt accurate. I like watching the nails being painted it has taught me how ti paint my nails.
