Great session. Thank you so much. Very true what you said about realism. I know for myself, once I hit middle age I have a harder time picking up details due to eyesight declining.

Your comment on realism being an important foundation for developing your style made me think of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. They focus on his formative years and he did a lot of realism before he developed the style he is so well known for.

Missed the livestream but the drawing tablet I use is made by Huion. It's more affordable and I love it. They make display tablets in several sizes so you wouldn't need to buy the biggest one, I didn't.

Is there a reason you use colored pencils instead of pastel pencils on your artwork?
