International Standards for a Safe Food Value Chain

A risk-based approach, which includes adherence to international food safety standards, is needed to ensure that food safety is observed and enforced all along the value chain, says Mr Sridhar Dharmapuri, Senior Food Safety and Nutrition Officer, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific.
