*Yeah removing the lightning port really doesn’t sound like a good idea.*
1. MagSafe is much less efficient charging, while the 20w charger wired is a lot faster.
2. MagSafe gets hot sometimes when using

MagSafe doesn’t provide data transfer, *Example : iPhone is in a boot loop and you have to restore your device using iTunes/Finder* (If they somehow put a magnetic connector on the bottom if the iPhone that is very similar to the Mac book’s that had MagSafe with data transfer then I would accept that.
