To those saying this is gimmicky, you're wrong... This will be used my millions of people, many times a day. And to those saying that issuing voice commands to your computer can cause privacy issues, just know that you can type any of these commands that he issued and it will respond with only text.

It'll be cool if they just make holding down the Windows Key on the keyboard or tablet or press and hold the Start button on the taskbar to launch Cortana with her already listening. A 1-click situation like that is better than a 2-click situation where you press Search and then press Start Listening, but it is only the BETA.

this will be cool IF and only IF: one can set the program defaults so that when you say "calendar" for example it uses whatever calendar service you use like Google or whatever it may be.

As cool as it is to get a "Digital assistant" to do things for you, in the time it took you to say "Remind me to do...." and all the back and forth, I could have opened up my own calendar and added it in 5 seconds.
