But wait, as far as I know, dropbox is not a cloud storage plataform like sync and pcloud, because you gotta have it in your pc or mobile first, and then syncing with your devices. But your pc/mobile will be eaten for storage still. Or I'm wrong?

Hi, i am in UK. is there an option to restrict the auto upload to a particular folder on phone(android) to amazon photos. i dont want all the garbage to get uploaded - like i dont want to back up every single whatsapp screenshots on various groups... i want only the snaps taken on camera and the snaps i download from the dlsr to be uploadded to amazon... in the settings, i kept 'checked' few folders, but i see that the upload is happening from other folders me know if you have info on this... .. thanks for any suggestions

I need to express my experience with Google Drive. It was incredibly, extremely FRUSTRATING. I must have been doing something wrong. The uploading of files took SEVERAL DAYS - unbelievably slow (in Los Angeles, CA USA). I also discovered that there was no validation of synced files - no way of checking to see the number of files uploaded to each folder - so I had no confidence that everything was "copied" to their cloud. I began to notice errors happening when I tested uploads - testing to see if it was working correctly. I was not. I really WANTED to use Google because of the convenience with my Gmail and the use of the Google Chrome browser, but I couldn't depend on it at all. I went with Sync and pCloud and others. They also had pretty bad issues - but they were resolved. DO YOU KNOW which of these free services would have the fastest uploading - and a reassurance that all of your files have been copied/uploaded to their cloud? Security is not a major issue for me, as I am using them for personal use, only. Thank you for your attention. OneDrive Lost all my 1TB of data. The issue started In August 2019 .A software robot decided to block/ lock me out of my Onedrive and my microsoft account my account with no explanation. I paid £79 p year for Onedrive . I had it for two years now and they have blocked my account with no explanation at all, Not even paypal can get my money back even though I am within UK laws 14 days refund cooling-off period for this year, this is how giant companies behave. .Ironically all my data is still shared in the cloud so it's obviously a robot that decided and NOT a human. So when Artificial intelligence eventually (soon) rules the world then expect something akin to the film The Terminator since the present robots are useless, some people will end up as NONE citizens because some algorithm has decided ( computer says NO) . I have spent months now trying to hunt for a REAL person to speak to but to my horror story, there is no way on earth to contact anyone in Microsoft accounts because ironically you need an Unblocked account to even email them. How stupid is that? So beware if you lose access to your one drive because they lock you out, then they Blank you NEVER talk to you again. Then all your data WILL be lost or inaccessible ( in my case I can access some shared links I kept, thus proving no human has closed my account 2 months later). I would recommend like me you also back it all up to a local hard drive every so often but move to a cloud storage company who actually speaks to you if they have an issue. Of course i will never use them again. Its been 2 months now with zero contact from them and no matter how many times I fill in the form, the numb nuts automated system never replies and they never fix it, and I end up in going in telephone circles trying to access or find a real person to help me.

Dropbox are the worst. They cheat on space to make you pay for more than you need. Your folder sizes increase by 30-40 percent after uploading to Dropbox. All so that they can push for their more expensive plans. If you do purchase a plan, their customer service is horrendous. They cannot solve the most simpel problem. I've been a paying customer for many years and at the beginning, they were good. Now, I would never choose them again. I'd recommend Tresorit. They are more expensive but better to pay a bit more than finding out that all your important files are gone and Dropbox could not care less.

Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive is best for me, I like mega for security but the requirement for uploading files was so freaking. That’s why I have only 3 best cloud for me. Nothing about in security because I’m not rich, I just backup PDF documents haha 😹

I am very overwhelmed and confused about all of this stuff! I want to free up my computer storage and not have to worry about if I delete a photo on my computer it will disappear from the cloud and it’s lost forever. Can I do this with Sync.com? I already have Backblaze backup, but I want something to archive all of my photos and videos.

Why is it so hard to find a service that provide cloud storage that you can use just like a network drive in windows.. WITHOUT SYNCING. when you have 2 tb google drive storage, the online interface works horribly with large amount of files, and extremely slow. I want to be ably to open this cloud storage from, and copy stuff to it from any pc, no syncing or space needed. I searched and searched, but still can not find what I look for
