Fanatic Stubby Foil 8'7'' review / Intermediate surf - Multi sport

One board that does it all?... It's a hard thing to ask for from a board, but having a board you can SUP surf, SUP Foil and windsurf Foil definitely sounds like a value for money product.

When it comes to foiling, by using a good foil such as the Fanatic S1 you can surf on pretty much anything (as many youtube videos show us!) But the Stubby isn't just anything! The Fanatic Stubby is an outstanding shaped board that surfs so well you will be happy to leave the foil on the beach until the waves crap out. The fact you can windsurf it as well just brings even more fun to a day at the beach!

I'm really loving this board in windsurfing really light winds in waves, lots of fun!  Great as a SUP as well.  Still learning on the SUP foil but I'm really loving this board!

I love my Stubby Foil. I've been out twice first windsurfing as that's my primary background. I got up and foiling in 30 minutes, it helped to have the sail all the way forward and foil all the way back and the shim in the rear wing to limit lift and so I mostly foiled with the rear fins still in the water and fully flying a few times and will adjust to fly more as I get more comfortable with that. I then took it for a SUP session and it was a bit challenging compared to my 140 liter SUP for stability and catching waves. But after I while I started catching waves and it rides *really* nice. Cuts and can ride higher on the wave. I love to lightwind wave windsurf and hope to try that next. The pads for the wings can fit even with the foil assembled which is nice. My only feedback to Fanatic is a little pocket for the hardware on the large wing pad would be great for keeping an assembled foil. Otherwise, I'm stoked on this combo!
