The truth about MELALEUCA

This is the truth about toxic ingredients, allergic reactions, shady business practices, withholding refunds, customer reviews, and more about the Melaleuca company.
They train their reps to be pushy and pass on deceptions and lies to tell others such as their products are scented with essential oils. They may ‘contain’ some essential oils, but their primary scents are chemical scents.
This is a brief overview, but the entirety of my experience was much shadier than I had time to include. Please do your own research and do not get sweet-talked into a hasty decision.

I am sorry you have allergy's to different ingredients. However, just because you have allergies to these substances does not make them bad or not natural. Shrimp is natural and eaten all over the world, but some people have allergies to them (some severe). Just because some people have the allergy doesn't make shrimp bad or not natural.

I just signed up under the $1 membership.. I gotta say, I love their products! And I was super skeptical, like almost didn’t sign up several times.. I hate these MLM type companies but said well what do I have to loose. I received the package in 2 days… which I thought was a hype that wasn’t going to happen, it did! 2 days is Amazon shipping.. then I start trying out the products trying to find something wrong because I thought this was a scam and was pleasantly surprised! The laundry soap.. the cleaners, the lip balm, lotion, strawberry kiwi drink mix, pain reliever, and dryer sheets all smell and work so good. The lemon soap cleaned my ring better than I’ve ever seen. I didn’t tell my husband what I cleaned it with, brought it to him to see his reaction, he was amazed and asked what I used. I said the soap from the company! So as much as I wanted to dislike this company, I can’t. From what I saw, it’s less than $50 in products each month or they send you your generated back up box. I spent that and more at Walmart and target, sams and Costco so I’m glad to be able to support a better business and get what I like. I thought I was going to have to compromise but no! This is better than expected

So you come out here and you talk about them not being natural but you don’t give any data that shows what chemicals they use in their products. It kind of makes your posts just another piece of information out there that most likely is useless.

What's great about buying products from the grocery store down the street is that (1) there is no subscription, (2) you can take advantage of sales, (3) if you have a bad experience, you can return said product for a full and immediate refund, (4) you can decide to buy something different or just make your own stuff. Why subscribe and get locked into paying for something every month that you may or may not need? It's MLM, just a different type of MLM.

THANK YOU for speaking up. I've been with Mela since 1992, and have seen them go through a lot of product introductions and failures, and removal of the favorite products they built the company on. I don't like their overpriced trendy items, for instance the plug-in fresheners which are full of chemicals and smell like old lady perfumes within a week of use; one time I got a sample of a new perfume, Iris and Sandalwood - I love the earthy fragrances, (and not smelling like a fruit bowl when I get out of the shower, )but there was not one hint of sandalwood in it, and I immediately got choked up and had a sore throat from the chemicals. I started really looking at things deeper. I've sent email after email with scientific studies showing the toxicity of their ingredients. They will not email you back, they will CALL you and APPEASE you, and they will NEVER reply by email, so you won't have a record of your conversation. After being with them for so many years and spending thousands of dollars, I feel like I OWN a piece of this company, and I am angry at their deception. I have repeatedly told them they need to phase out the chemicals (and sucralose out of the ingestible products, ) but they ignore all suggestions. Everyone I know has been interested in organic products, since becoming aware of all the poisonous products in the marketplace, but they refuse to acknowledge the need. When they came out with the Riverbend Ranch beef last year, the biggest concern I heard of from other customers was, is this beef unvaccinated? THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A STRAIGHT ANSWER. They are manipulative and controlling. They allow nothing but positive, pollyann-ish remarks on their social media and website. You are not allowed to leave real reviews there or on their website; just a handful of '5-star' gushing reviews. They are LYING to consumers about the safety of their products. Period.

I don’t believe half of what she says on this video. I’ve joined and quit Melaleuca multiple times since 2015. I’ve never had any problems cancelling or getting refunded. Ever. This just sounds like a hit piece. Also I have friends that are practically allergic to everything and they use melaleuca laundry detergent BECAUSE it DOESNT give them a reaction.

Yea you can be allergic to melaleuca tea tree oil. My friend is allergic to that tree so I can never sign her up. But it doesn’t mean it’s not natural. They do use silicon dioxide which I’m against. I’m trying tho to find out if they use nano technology because then that would be real bad. This is my 3rd time trying the business cause I like their products. You could use their oils to make your own cleaners too. I’m not into their vitamins but I like the bars. Like I’m in it now for the beef. You just have to see what products are ok and which are not. Every company is gonna have something. I’m hoping the beef is gonna be good let’s see.

It's sad that you where not properly informed. I have been struggling with chronic pain, carpal tunnel for almost 10 yrs. And I have allergies to so many food, scent, even the smell of cooked foods. Been using Melaleuca's supplements for 2 yrs now and this is the only company with products that helped me and the only company I can trust with my life and my family's. I did my research before becoming a member. My husband is a registered nurse and we are cautious of what we take. With family historynof heart ailment and cancer for the past 2 years we were never been healthier. All our blood marks are normal including kidney, pancreas and liver enzymes. It may have not worked out for you but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. There are over 500 products, you dont have to buy everything, only the ones you needed and what works for you. As simple as that. No need to bad mouth the company. Their products save lives. I'm supposed to have my surgery for my carpal tunnel and have been on steriods for a long time. Not anymore. My doctor said just keep doing what your doing.

okay, I'm a Melaleuca and I love the products, it's not a scam! You can just be a shopper and never do the business side of Melaleuca! If you upset with Melaleuca don't take it out on the rest of the us who supports the company and use the products. People can read and they can see what is in the Melaleuca because it's all on the packaging! You don't have to spend $200.00 a month if you don't want too. 35 point comes out to be about $70.00 to 80.00 but if you are converting your home you will order every month! Start reading about how many people have cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Autoimmune disease that are popping up everywhere. I know I have several Autoimmune disease and these products are safe. The Company pays well and they're an honest Company, it breaks my heart that you'd be so upset with Melaleuca that you'd put other peoples health at risk!!

I’ve used these products before and been pressured zero times to “sell” or “share.”
I’m busy and like that it comes to my house and it’s all from one spot and the products work well. Gotta use something to clean and do laundry with, right? I have no time or desire to diy things I use daily.

I’ve cancelled, come back, put the account on hold, all of it with no issues.
Sometimes it’s just not that deep….i do not understand what is with people making videos ripping others for selling for a living or just buying things of their own choosing…bigger stuff to focus on in life.

Also, whoever you were signed up, I clearly was not going by the Melaluca guidelines. I can tell you for a fact that I had a lot of life things going on when I first came on board with Melaluca. I only had two customers the first four months because I wasn’t working my business and nobody had a problem with that, so I don’t know if this is all made up or if you just unfortunately got a bad apple because there’s those in every company, but this is not how we do business!

I use almost all of their products. My physical health has improved significantly. It’s easy to get the points each month if you’re not strictly using cleaning products. We all feel better, breathe better, and my insulin resistance went away. I do not recruit and never get pressured to. I did leave the Facebook group I was added to because they would never post my questions and it was annoying. But, I love the products and we are all eczema free, breathing great, clean everything and like I said my own physical health has improved greatly. So I guess it’s a matter of looking at it as a business or personal thing. For me, it’s just cheaper and healthier.

I liked this company until I found out that they force you to make a purchase of a certain amount of $$$ per month. If you don’t, then they charge your card on file anyways and send you the “back up” order. It was extremely frustrating when I went through this multiple times.

They also claim that the chemicals/seed oils they use (titanium dioxide, sucralose, sunflower oil), are completely natural and not harmful, which is BS. They claim that the sucralose they use comes directly from beets and that’s simply not true after doing my hours of research. It’s an artificial sweetener than is directly linked to gut damage. I was finally able to heal my gut after I stopped using the products.

Some of their products are good, but overall, it’s just another greenwashing company.

Spot on, 45 yr old veteran cosmetologist here. I have been a member for two yrs, Purchasing, using and researched their ingredients in their products I ordered. Get a clue people, it takes a few clicks on even google and one can find the words Natural and Fragrance are indeed cover words for tada: "CHEMICALS".
Their cleaning products, hair and skin care do have chemicals in products. Dove head first into watching every video they provided on each product before the got rid of the videos for credits game. The videos were highly produced to sell a product with tons of current health buzz words to get consumers to buy.
DON'T EVEN GRT ME STARTED ON THEIR CRAP MEAT.
The meat is comes from their owner of Melaluca, who has not been a rancher all his life. This brave woman is truly telling the truth.❤❤
