Reminds me of doing fire marshal inspections on fire alarm installs. The company I worked for had time for two inspections built into each new install. First was the troubleshooting inspection where you go around and test and inspection to see what works and what doesn't so it can be fixed before the fire marshal came out. I had one contractor set up the fire marshal inspection to be the first one since that contractor was in an f'n hurry. Luckily it worked

“They leave some stuff for the inspector to put in the report” is an easy way to get the inspector to remind them of all the stuff they forgot to do and wouldn’t have done unless someone noticed.

One thing that I notice is that Formans leads etc if they would tell the workers that inspections are in days that they need to finish the project or so it probably would be done in a time fashion not bribe, but reward if they meet needs then the job would be done in a time then the jobs would be done a lot sooner and meet expectations
