Since I started making these videos in 2017, I have been lucky enough to receive the support of some manufacturers with materials to use in my videos. Since May 2018, Chestnut Products have provided me with stains, an iridescent paints sample set, lacquers and waxes. I'd like to thank them for their kind and generous support. Martin Saban-Smith has provided me with a sample set of Intrinisic Colours.

All other products and tools, unless where indicated, have been bought from suppliers at retail prices. Products mentioned in my videos are for information purposes so that viewers know what I have used.

The stills at the end look like a autumn woodland scene. Good blend of colour. Maybe not everyone’s choice but I like it.

I have watched your channel from the early days and used many of your ideas as inspirations on several turnings. In my opinion, this is/was one of your best pieces. I don't mind that you re-face old bowls to share with us, another colouring technique. It's what the channel is about. I do wish you could go in a bit more detail about the paints, dyes and finishes you're using. As always thanks for sharing.

Autumn, my favourite time of the year . I thought you captured the essence of autumn colours superbly Stewart, I love it it or loved it I should say ...loved the reveal towards the end and then NOooo lol We are our own worst and best critics but I do hope you come back with this one. Hello Stewart, Some things to remember: There are almost no absolutes but you can never have too many colours.. So O.K. you might think it looks like year 3 had a paint fight and even I groaned when I first saw the radial black lines being pressed in. But now I see the circle of forest, hinted at through the riot of leaves. So yeah, it works for me. Regards, Glenn. :-)

I actually quite liked that, definitely more so with decent lighting in the stills. I wasn't sure about the black "stripes" when they went on, but once blended in, they looked great. Very tree trunk esque.
I guess the only thing to say now is, "what will it's third incarnation be?"

I can see 'Autumn Forest' in the pattern, texture and colours. Very reminiscent of the New Forest, where we reside.

I was interrupted early on and when I returned it looked like you were washing in the sink. That would be a twist for your channel. I had to rewind to find that it was just polish.
The piece wasn't quite what I'd expect to see in the autumnal forest, more than a bit on the dark side. But just as a bit of art it was OK. Perhaps not something that would have done well at the market though. Ah, well. It has another chance at greatness now. Thanks for another interesting video, Stuart.

Hi Stewart, seem to recognize a piece from the Chesnut demo there. I like the idea and the process and the final outcome, but hated seeing it vanish under the gouge! Best way to deal with what you're not 100% happy with. Can't wait to see the next finish the platter develops. Thanks for sharing again.
