Love that more people are posting about Waterloo. Can you do a video comparing Waterloo and other top CS (American) school's benefits?

Could you make a video about the state of coop for life sciences and such ? i was wondering if the coop for life sciences was as fleshed out as the compsci ones . Great video btw, a lot of much insight for International Student who are not as informed when it comes to such niche topics.

Also HUGE difference between CS and Eng
Is amount of work, the deep theory math stuff vs science courses, amount of programming, design courses, clubs/teams, freedom to take electives, more time off, heavier or lighter courseload

Dude, as someone applying to Waterloo cs right now this insight is invaluable. Do you mind telling me what average you got in CS co-op with btw?

damn, i'm jealous of that co-op deal. I haven't found a school that does that in the states. That sounds pretty sweet.

In the case that you're an international student who needs to choose: UW CS & WLU BBA with a price tag of $57, 000 per year, and UWO Ivey + Economics with a $100k+ scholarship; which program would you choose realistically? (additional conditions are: your parents immigrate to Canada meaning you only need to pay int. tuition in the first year and the rest is covered as domestic students pay; you want to be a software engineer slightly more than an investment banker).

I know this is a tough question, but really is an important decision to make as a grade 12 :(
Thank you for your time!

What was your average in highschool gr 11&12? Cause I know Waterloo cares heavily on your average. (I think a mid to high cut 90s cut off.) I’m afraid my gr 12 average might only be a 93 or 94 at the highest

I got admission in maths honours co-op, Im thinking to choose computational math, but I also wanted computer science major. Should I take computational math and try to get a transfer into cs?

Hey Jason, I am planning in Waterloo this fall. Came across your video. Thanks for the info. I'm going for computer engineering honours with co op. Was confused between rev, v1 and cmh. My needs are a social residence plus like while I'm studying I need silence. I understand pretty opposites but if you could guide a little. Thanks.

Does MMath Computer Science have a Co-op option?
I'm confused as to apply for that or MDSAI as im a little biased towards coop

Hey Jason, I am currently a grade 12 student in Ontario and I recently made UW's computer engineering program (still waiting for CS). I was wondering if that's a good option for pursuing software development in the future. My goal is to work in big tech in the future. I have heard that everyone has access to the same co-op portal but do companies prefer CS/SE over CE?

Very informative video, thanks! I just had a question, is I have gotten an offer of admission from the Physical Science department of Waterloo, and have applied to Computer Science(still awaiting their decision). Since I am equally inclined to do both, is Physical Sciences over there a good program?

subscribed.... I'm in the process of applying to university, Im still debating on whether to apply to cs or swe. from your video you make it seem very similar and cs sounds better because of the different elective options. could you do a video on how hard, or easy getting admission to either of the programs. You dont have to do a whole video just for me asking. I would like that tho, but you can just reply the comment thanks
