Okay, so now we come to the 7th chords. Dominant 7 or 7, same thing. And this time, instead of using E major or E minor, well we gotta use E7, right? So here was the original E7 shape and how I made that is my 1st finger is on the 3rd string, 1st fret, right? And my 2nd finger is on the 5th string, 2nd fret. There's E7. So I'm just gonna move that around so I have my 1st finger free. And now I wanna make A7 so I take that and I'm gonna bring it to the 5th fret – that's where A is; here's my 7. So, A7, then barre chord. Now, that's just using the E shape. I can also use the A shape so I know that sounds weird – I'm using A7 to make an A7 barre chord. That's okay, we're just going over every possibility here right? So, so this is how I can make A7 – I'm taking my 1st finger and I'm putting it on the 4th string, 2nd fret. And I'm taking my 2nd finger and I'm putting it on the 2nd string, 2nd fret. That's how I originally made A7 as an open chord, right? Again, I gotta switch it around so I have my 1st finger free so you could see, all I did was change which fingers I use. In this case, I'm gonna use my third finger and my pinky. And then, I gotta find A and A is all the way up here at the 12th fret. That's where the guitar starts again. So, here it is – I have my barre at the 12th fret, I have what looks like A7 here, so this is A7 barre chord. So A7 is a barre chord using the E shape, A7 is a barre chord using the A shape.
