Vipernox venom requires a platinum pan to boil down and concentrate the venom into usable ammunition for a nebuliser.
The nebuliser requires a platinum coating to store the acidic venom costing up to 100gp for the platinum alone.
The ammunition is more expensive than the weapon itself

Actual: the murder was committed by a doppelganger under krellic employment. An assassin.

Clear the child's name, bring the doppelganger to justice and make a powerful enemy in the process
