Sega Model 2 Emulator - FULL emulation setup & GAMES guide

We're now up to number five in our guide to emulation and we continue with some more Arcade machine emulation! We’ll be looking at the Sega Model 2 and arguably some of the best Arcade games of all time! Utilising the very stable and really quite user friendly Sega Model 2 Emulator (catchy title!), as ever we’ll walk through setting it up for Arcade emulation and a few, well quite a lot actually, games to get you enthused for installing this yourself

As I say in the video, a very helpful young YouTuber has a companion website where further supporting information can be found for each video as well as a guide to tracking down those old Roms. Links are normally left in the comments section once available.

Unfortunately the author has been poached by Sega. It would be nice to have a modern emulator or RetroArch Core that supports g-sync, low-latency etc.

For the games to go silky smoothly, just download Custom Resolution Utility and set up the video. I will write out a complete table.Just go through manual timing. Parameters Active: 1920 pixels 1080 lines, Front porch: 48 pixels 3 lines, Sync width: 32 pixels 5 lines, Back porch: 80 pixels 22lines, blanking: 160 pixels 30 lines, Total: 2080 pixels 1110 lines. section Frequency . Refresh rate: 58.199 hz, Horizontal :64.600khz, Pixel clock: 134.37 MHz. Works on standard led lcd monitor. Have a nice day.

in my ultra wide screen 2560x1920 the screen stretches, and i dont know how to maintain the 4x3 scale. Any thoughts?

Hello, I have only 1 problem with the emulator.
And with F12, when you press it, it asks you to press F12 again to confirm and save your game and F10 is the same, you press it and it asks you to press F10 again to load your saved game.
So my problem is that when I hit F12 to save and press F10 to load the emulator it closes
Can this be solved?

Does anyone know if its possible to enable the 50% scanline option in the emulator.ini file or by using a command line argument? I have games setup but need to enalbe this manually for each game as cannot find a way to save the option or have it enabled by default.

Is there a way to configure the analogue stick in Daytona so the game is actually playable? Its WAY too sensitive.

8:58 Yes, all three playable characters lose their clothes to indicate damage. The game has a lot of 90s Camp going on and the Dreamcast version comes with extra content and lore attached, where it becomes even more obvious.

how do you hide the mouse cursor in HOTD? I subscribed to your channel a long time ago, but youtube unsubscribed me I guess. Cause here I am back on your channel and it says I am not subscribed. So I will re-sub. Honestly how do you hide mouse cursor in light gun games? I can see the game crosshair, but its not aligned properly with where my gun is actually shooting either.
