In case anyone's curious about it, the figure skating incident was a genuine mix up and the reason they're giving kisses is because they're in France. The man in charge of giving out the medals came back to apologise and give the right medals afterwards. It was very cute to see the girls reactions they're all smiling and laughing about it. At least we can feel better about ourselves knowing that even people with big important jobs still get stuff wrong sometimes x)

Gosh I love the girl in third place. she not only gave up the gold medal to its rightful person, but she placed it on ceremonically and shook her hand, and all three girls were giggling and in such a good mood about it. The way she even played along as the "medal giver" was just precious. I wish them all the best and hope they win lots more medals, all three of them

I don't even know what this was about, but I am instantly a fan of all three, ESPECIALLY #3 cuz there's really not many people who'd be so nice about it

I'm just really impressed with Click's English skills.
I mean, I learned all those planet and space things and stuff he was explaining. In school, in Finnish. Not that long ago either. I don't think I'd be able to explain that stuff even close to that well in English.

The woman with the breathing in the car stuff is a very good example of why there are dumb questions and why you should absolutely ask them because that lady needs to know that those vents for your AC and whatnot that helps bring air in your car also your door is in a perfect seal air can get into the cracks

I was stocking up the shelves at a Kroger and overheard these girls filming a tiktok. They were trying to shoplift vodka and other alcoholic drinks. I got my manager and other coworkers and we waited for them at the exit. The look on their faces were PRICELESS. They left in a cop car. My coworker (who went to school the same school as her) told my that one of the girls was grounded for a year and lost her phone and social media.

In all fairness I understand what the first guy meant. He was complaining that the author seemed to have not put the effort to think about the story, preserving the continuity and logic of the narrative. It is like me portraying a character too heavy to sit on a beach chain in chapter 1 but then saying that his 13 year old daughter dragged him across a field on chapter 15.

I got the same: "That's just what's expected of you" speech. Rather than quitting my job, I just stopped taking on all the extra responsibilities. My job became immensely easier, and my managers became a lot more stressed.

I kinda get what the first one was going for with the "made up as they went along"; while all fiction books are of course made up, I think the person in question was complaining about the plot progression, such as a lack of build up, pay off, random things happening for no reason, maybe even some deus ex machinas. So the complaint was likely more about the author not having a clear idea of where they're going with the story.

As a Canadian, I had 3 surgeries, 1 life threatening that would've left in debt for decades if I was American, 1 being something that I could technically have lived with and I would have if I was given the choice between crippling debt or living with this crap for the rest of my life and the 3rd one was a follow up surgery because the first one didn't fix it all.

But, you know, I really wish I would live in "the land of the free" instead.

Something I find a bit ironic is that Karens will think they are so brave for not following the crowd but when the gays don't follow the crowd with being straight then it's an issue
