Young people are usually the most affected by politics and policies and yet, in all countries they vote the least.

I have at least 10 Turkish friends and co-workers here in Canada and in Istanbul. All of them are cursing Erdogan. So i thinks that says a lot!

I am not Turkish but some friends in London told me that the government is not so democratic, so it could be good to have a better one, even because it's 20 years does not change. They need fresh air.

As a young Turkish I can say that this election isn’t democratic at all. Erdoğan has been our president for the last 11 years and according to law he doesn’t have the right to be a candidate for the 3rd time. Unfortunately the half of the Turkey still is on the side of his because they don’t question things while we’re drowning because of the inflation. In today’s Turkey a family barely pays their bill, mostly can’t and this bills only involves food, rent and electricity. Rents are in a level which isn’t affordable, people are either moving to worse houses or move to cheaper cities, villages. This might be our last chance now or things will come to a position where they can’t be solved anymore…

As a 19 year old Turkish citizen and living in the most affected city from the earthquakes, I'm going to vote for democracy, justice, human rights and freedom. I'm done with Erdoğan's current goverment and its unresponsible authorities.

So unfair and selfish when old people with opposite ideals who are supposed to be gone soon decide the faith of the young.

Turkish expatriates have been voting early for a week in Germany and France already. Though perhaps they’re not representative of the domestic population.

Change is good and even better for the Turkish people, especially with rampant inflation and Erdogan's autocratic, dictator style. The people want democratic principles and leadership.

I have taught at three different universities in Istannbul and most of the students want a new president. They want a president who does not support violence against women and who does not falsely accuse and imprison people for nothing.

The “people’s person” strategy tends to work more than the “strong man” tactic. Most people don’t care if you show irrelevant pictures of tanks, cruisers, etc. They want to hear down-to-earth solutions to current problems.

He came to power in 2003 and most young people especially under 30 don’t remember any other leader besides RTE. They deserve to have a change for once. He’s getting old too and health problems are going to start he’s had his time on the throne now it’s time to hand his leadership over to someone else

The question is: will Erdogan comply and give up the power that easily!? most dictators choose to take down the country and not leave the power when they are on the fall.

Sadly young 20 year old's have a lot of passion but they don't show up in numbers come election day. This is why Bernie Sanders lost primaries in US the 2nd time.

I am Turkish and I went to Washington D.C. to vote which takes 12 hours to get there. This election will be different. Erdogan will go this time. It might not be easy to take him but HE WILL FAIL THIS TIME.
