The reason why Loona was so hostile to bee is bc in the ep where we see Loona being adopted by blitz in a flashback, we can see beezlebub's signature on Loona's adoption papers. Which means there could be a chance Beelzebub is in control in most of the hell hound pounds in hell which could be funding her parties, plus Loona has a crush on Vortex so she was obviously also jealous.

Her design is so beautiful and people hated on her design because she wasn't fat. You don't have to be fat to over indulge. That's why I love that drinking was a focus on the episode she was in. You can become a glutton to anything; booze, food, etc.

In the photo in episode 7 on Blitzo's phone, we see Loona when she was first adopted. Her adoption certificate is signed by Bee, meaning Beelzebub likely oversees the hellhound adoption process (or at least certain hellhound shelters). This explains why Loona feels so angry towards her as Bee is all about partying and overindulgence but still oversees the cruel and inhumane treatment of hellhounds (you see more of how Loona was treated in episode 2 of season 2). Also, hellhounds are at the bottom of hell's hierarchy, being viewed as "pets" and the presence of hellhound adoption centres keeping them in cages implying that they don't have their own freedom or autonomy unless someone adopts them. Bee is royalty, and has had everything given to her on a silver platter. She's also dating vortex, who Loona had a thing for, kind of shoving Loona's low self esteem back in her face like "I'm one of the seven sins, I'm hot, I'm royalty, why would vortex ever want to be with you over someone like me?" (Bee isn't doing it intentionally but we see that Loona is insecure so she probably takes it that why)

So that's probably why, at least that's my theory

i remember when that ep came out and people HATED her design cause it wasnt a fly. SO glad shes getting some appreciation.

I don’t know if you know, but her hair resembles her stomach too because she’s supposed to be similar to a lava lamp! Because she’s the sin of gluttony, she’s CONSTANTLY indulging and eating and drinking! Some people got mad at Vivziepop for the design, saying she should have been chubby, but I disagree because I think it’s so cool that her stomach disintegrates everything or most things she consumes so that she can constantly be gluttonous! I also love how chill she is. She genuinely seems to be the life of the party, and she cares for the people attending. She just wants everyone to have fun!

I know a lot of folks critiqued her design for being "over complicated" and "sparkly dog esque". And to be honest... I'm glad that Helluva Boss doesn't work by industry standards and instead does what indie animations do best: Do what they want designwise! Bee gives me heavy mid to late 2010s DeviantART OC vibes and I LOVE it. As someone who was active during that time it's reminiscent of a time where your teenager heart just drew what it wanted. Also, her hair & tail were modelled and played on an animation loop so the animators didn't have to handdraw these components :) Nice to see that Vivzie considered this and hired someone for difficult assets.

Bee’s voice acting is great and her vibe is very chill. Saying we’re living in hell with people like Blitz, Alastor, and Valentino she’s probably the most humane and chill people down there. She just gets people drunk off of bezzlejuice (“how the hell do I spell this…?) and has a fun time at her party. Her design, voice, and personality is perfection in the helluvaverce and I want more of her!

It’s nice to finally hear a conversation about her design that doesn’t boil down to “I hate this and that and it’s not what I imagined” (even a lot of the more valid criticism like “it’d be so hard to animate and it’s kind of hard to see” tend to be full of insults as well) 💜💜💜

Bee is not only gorgeous, but her kindness speaks volumes, especially since she's a Deadly Sin, thus one of the 'top animals' in Hell, and who she hosts her parties for? That's right, hellhounds and imps. The bottom classes of Hell. Plus, she genuinely cares about her people. The real Queen. ❤

What I love about her design is shes not the stereotypical obese, digsusting mass that gluttony typically is represented by. Shes skinny, which speaks to something very true and very interesting. Some of the people i know who are high energy adhd types eat food by the fridge like its nothing and stay skinny. Its incredible! Their metabolism is so high they just pound shit down like its nothing and shrug off the calories, and go for a run. Check out eating contests, sure a lot of the competition are the stereotypical types, but the winners are usually the much skinnier, high metabolism types and its very refreshing to see in Helluva Boss

I think I found the reason why people don’t like her design- it’s because they think the sin of gluttony should be plus size or overweight, but to me this doesn’t make sense. I think that she would probably be skinny to deceive sinners gluttony isn’t that bad and she probably is able to stay healthy to infinitely be gluttonous

I don’t get why people hate her design so much, and as I’ve seen someone point out when someone else commented on ‘why is she skinny’ Beezlebub is the sin of gluttony (overindulgence) so for her to keep indulging in food, drugs etc her maintaining her (literally) sparkling appearance glamourises it and encourages demons to indulge themselves.
Similar can be said for her colour palette being so bright and mixed
