You actually forgot one of the big reasons Shavkat can’t stand Khamzat. 2 years ago, for no reason, Khamzat insulted Shavkat and his nationality by calling him an ethnic slur that’s basically the N word equivalent in Russian. Shavkat told him to keep his mouth shut and not insult his family or background, and to wait until they meet so they can fight. A lot of Kazakhs were angry about it, since Kazakhstan people took care of Chechen refugees when Stalin deported them to KZ and called them brothers. Since then Khamzat has been trying to backtrack and praise Kazakhstan, but Shavkat isn’t interested and either ignores Khamzat or subtly trolls him. That’s a big part of why they dislike each other now.
