I wonder if this is also coming to regular smartphones connected to external displays via USB-C.
Similar to Samsung's Dex, except good because third party apps will actually support it and the APIs will be official.

It's great Google is doing something like iPadOS for bigger screens.
This will make tablets more useful because up to now they didn't have many more functions than phone while they are capable of that. And after Apple released iPadOS adding more features to the iPad it was a matter of time for Google to do something similar.

It'll be interesting to see how this affects Samsung products as well as Samsung Dex because Samsung Dex uses large screen larger screens as a default and forcing apps or making apps use these Android 12 l features could change the game for Samsung dex
