Just want to give you encouragement. My husband and I were married in college and graduated with 2 kids in tow. It was the best and we loved that time in our lives. We graduated college with NO debt and enough savings for a down payment on a home. Keep going and don’t let others get you down about what feels right for the two of you.❤️

We got married almost three years ago at 19 and 20. We were paying $600 a month for my husband’s tuition for his last two years of school just to make sure we didn’t have to take out more loans. 😱 We were debt free within 10 months of him graduating and should be finished with our 6 month emergency fund next month. You guys are doing awesome! 💗

You guys just somehow appeared in my recommended feed yesterday, and I am glad that you did! I want to say how much I really respect the two of you. You exhibit such a level of maturity that is hard to come by at our age (I'm also 21), and the love you have for each other is amazing and strong. I wish you both the best of luck and long happy marriage.

Financially wise. So many couples could benefit from this vlog and Dave Ramsey/Financial peace university. If more couples did this they wouldnt be in such a big credit mess.Glad you are working together to stay debt free and work within your budget. Its the best feeling. Congrats.

My husband and I got married two years ago when we had just turned 21 and 22, and I can't tell you how excited I was to hear you mention Dave Ramsey! I just wanted to reiterate how highly recommended he comes, and his teaching of spending ONLY what you have. Just as important, as they mentioned in the video as well, is having and sticking to a budget! This ensures you know exactly how much money you have at all times, and where it's all going. It takes away so much stress and worry, and you don't have to feel guilty when you do buy something that isn't a necessity, (as long as it's budgeted). For example, we have a set amount of money that we allow ourselves, (mostly me...) to spend each month on clothes. We don't always spend it, but we know we can without thinking twice. Eeeverything you spend money on should have it's own designated amount, and you save a set amount as well. You budget to spend x on groceries, and if you only spend y, you save the remainder. It's not as hard as it sounds to save money, and you can still buy nice things that you don't really need. Again, as Matt mentioned, it is so so important to save. You should know exactly what you're saving for, your target amount, and how much you'll put aside each month. Having money set aside for an emergency is crucial, and you can save for Christmas, vacations, giving, etc. It's wonderful to know you can afford to bless people and not have to worry about where the money is coming from, and being prepared for things like Christmas spending. Up until recently, we were only spending my husband's income, and saving some as well. We saved all of mine, and we never once felt like we were broke or missing out on things. We took a lot of wonderful low-budget trips together, but they never felt low-budget! And in December we bought our first house. So I just want to encourage everyone that, with some self-discipline, it can be done and it makes such a huge difference in your life. Matt should start a finance channel, people need to hear about this!

We seriously got the best Pell Grant when we got married in college! We both worked part time as well. Not to mention, Dave Ramsey helped us learn so much! Wow, you guys have great heads!

I love your videos! Also, my husband and I are big dave ramsey fans! he actually got into it before me and read his books and started doing financial peace university before we got married! while most new couples argue about money, we have hardly ever argued about money! You guys are off to such a great start! I really admire the two of you!

Could you make a grocery budgeting video? Maybe a week of meals/what you bought/what you spent? I would love to see a video like that!

My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting engaged and getting married end of next year, but the financial situation is tough because neither of our degrees allow a lot of time for working...😢😢
