5:52 Thai dentists are "infinitely more gentle". My mate took over a practice in an area of multiple deprivation and everyone raved about how wonderful the previous guy was, and they all hated him. They love him now. The previous bloke's attitude was, "They won't follow treatment plans, they won't turn up for follow-on appointments, and they won't tolerate discomfort". A lot of much-needed work hadn't been done because he'd been pandering to them, and they all had long-term problems because of it. They all assumed that they just had bad teeth, not that he had made a decision not to even try and fix it right, once.

If you need a couple of Crowns and you live near the Mexico Border it will cost you about $ 500 a piece. And most gringo's speak better Spanish than Thai.

The information in this video is misleading and not very accurate. Rent can be less expensive sure, but show us what you get. I know what you get and you get close to the same as what you would get in the US, comparable sized town/city, room size and standard. Food is not really much cheaper unless you eat like Thais. If you want meat and things you are used to in the USA, it is actually more expensive. Medical costs are not as high but they are not necessarily inexpensive. It depends on what you are talking about. And if you are having a triple bypass surgery, tell me you would prefer to have it done in Thailand versus the USA. The English speaking abilities of Thais is perhaps the most disappointing thing of all. Even Thais working at the hotels do not speak good English unless you stay at 5 star hotels which cost over $200/night. Cars and electronics are MUCH more expensive too. The only thing that is cheaper is labor so yes you can have a maid for a low price but the total costs are not much different when adjusted for quality and other variables.

Sorry, but this marketing gimmick wont fly. I know better. You should focus on some of the true advantages like friendliness of the people and low crime rather than this epiphany of cheap living costs because it really is not true. I can find an apartment in the USA for $200/month too but let's see what it looks like and where it is located. Same with Thailand.

If there was a place that was much cheaper to live with the same living standards, everyone would move there and force prices up, exhausting the "great opportunity."
