Didn't see the match, but with 40 unforced errors it's hard to beat anyone in the top 10. That should be Alcaraz's priority

i'm the only one that see that alcaraz change his backhand? its preparation is lower

Carlos played great until 4-1 after that he made about 40 unforced errors...lack of consistency even during a match is his problem

No matter what people say, Alcaraz actually tried in this match but De Minair was just the better player. De Minaur is the best Aussie tennis player since Hewitt but Kyrgios and Tomic were the ones getting all the hype

An Aussie male player hasn't won a Slam since 2002 (Hewitt at Wimby), that's 22 years ago! 🤔

I wouldn't read too much into this. It's an exhibition match and he was playing against an Australian opponent in front of the Australian crowd. To me it didn't look like he was playing at 100% of his abilities. He probably wanted his opponent to have a win in front of his own home crowd.

Alcaraz could have played more warm up games on Aussie courts? Brisbane/Adelaide? It is a GS after all and he should be 100% and not 'getting used to' racquets or courts. (IMO).

The new buzz cut is not good for Carlos's game. The additional hair provided a heat shield that is now missing.

Such a good exhibition match. Great practice for both. Carlitos seemed a bit off his game though 🥺 he doesn’t usually make that many mistakes 😅

Also, love their friendship but I hated the interviewer she asked inappropriate questions and said inappropriate things that made them both uncomfortable. Awkward interview! 😒

You’ll see a different Alcaraz when there’s money involved. People acting like he went for it.

I was sure Alcaraz would have lost it. He also showed some difficulty to manage the new racket. As expected, Sinner much better than Alcaraz on hard courts.

Aussie can only hope to win grand slam

Alcaraz is almost exactly the same player for about 3, 5 years in a row now! Yeah, his initial level was impeccable (for his age at the time). But hell, you got weaknesses! Everybody knows them by now and you'll start losing more and more. Try to change some things, for crying out loud! Try to freakin prolong rallies, play more conservative at times, since you got the variety. Reduce your silly UEs! Fix your serve a bit (ball placement in particular, which is atrocious)! He's got 4 slams already, which is amazing, but the thing is he's such a talent that he coulda won even more titles (not slams necessarily).

As much as I'd like him to win the whole tournament, Alcaraz is cooked if he has to play somebody with flat groundstrokes and a good serve. Zverev showed how to beat him last year and other players know that. He doesn't look like he has improved significantly compared to last year (on fast HC I mean). Let's see if he can get gradually better throughout the early rounds.

De Minaur est le meilleur joueur de l'histoire du tennis, c'est aberrant

When comes to a Grand Slam is a whole different story if the play against each other.

Great fun. Let's see if it pans out like that at AO...

It’s an exhibition match but Carlos looks same old. Making huge amount of unforced errors. To gain Sinner like maturity, he might need a year or two.

The result could feed Alcaraz's hunger.
