Saw a clip of someone trying to get executed but Jana gave the tower her shield and the game counted it as Jana's kill

Once I was in the middle of a fight. I was only being hit by an Ashe, and just as I was about to die, an Anivia cast her wall right where I was.

Anivia got the kill.

Death recap showed no damage by Anivia. No hits at all, not even 0 damage, she was nowhere to be seen. No tower damage, no minion damage. I died to an Anivia wall that DOES NOT deal damage while I only got hit by an Ashe.

(Some abilities can deal 0 damage. For example, if I remember correctly, Zilean's Q procs runes/some items the moment it lands on the enemy, before the explosion. But the death recap shows this accordingly, i.e. you died to Zilean's rune/item damage. Anivia wall does NOT do this.)

To clear all the confusion up Ashe E counts as assisting if you hit someone with the vision

That’s because she gives vision over a person basically assisting but if there is no champions present for the kill it automatically goes to her logically :P

Some precisions :

In the video it says that ashe has to REVEAL the enemies. That is, if someone already has the vision on it, you won't get anything.
However, I don't know after how much time of vision loss the kill is offered.

As long as the target dies, you'll get the kill, whether it's a turret, minions, or monster.

If an ally kills it, you will get assist.

I want to remind you that Twisted Fate ult don't even gives you an assist

This is because she might have forced that enemy to execute themselves since they were revealed deep in the enemy side and there's not enough time for them to recall
Also they might have a huge shutdown on their head and didn't want to give it to anyone

You can do something similar with Janna if she shields the turret

That's ... a bit unspecific of am explaination. Ashe needs to reveal an enemy your team didn't have vision of until that E reveal, otherwise it won't count. This also goes for assists cross map.
