Independent Contractor Agreement Walk Through

Contracts are the lifeblood of your company. If you plan on being able to stay in business without losing your shirt, then your *and* your key employees' ability to understand contract basics are non-negotiable.

Here's a video review of a contract I pulled off the internet earlier this afternoon. It's not the worst agreement I've seen, but it's certainly not the best either. I'd give it a C- if I had to grade it.

I really liked using this agreement as an example because I feel it highlights common and costly deficiencies that are consistent across lots of agreements (even those written by some lawyers😱).

I've been doing contracts for a loooooooong time, so I really don't expect many people to know every little thing about any given agreement. But if you're in business, you should have caught some of what I mentioned in the video.

This video is definitely one of the best I've seen so far with visually breaking down te good and bad of a reasonable contractor agreement. Quesiton: Is there a difference in contractor (besides scope) between a contractor and a subcontractor (specific to media production business)?
