Have had a 2024 since brand new. I would still get the 2025 in manual. Great anti theft device these days and this car is fun to drive.

Only talking about the body design here, this one feels like a change for the sake of change, rather than something that was necessary.

The front vents are pretty cool but I love the fog lights on my car

Living in heavy traffic makes people want this version of the GR Corolla.

I agree with it needing that front lip. Very happy to hear you bring that up. Great video mate

The automatic is a great addition as an option, but I like the old front bumper way better than the new one. The foglights and GR-Four on the intercooler looks sick.

I like that they made this almost look like a front bumper delete.

I'm buying it in automatic. We have the worst traffic in LA and a manual is just a no go on a daily basis especially after a long shift. 3-4 hr. traffic is just insane in a manual on a daily basis.

I have one and its fun, but I find the styling way too busy. These days, automatics are so good that fuel economy is no longer an advantage or the manual, though I'd never get one with an automatic. Totally agree that not having a body color lip at the bottom is a miss - its like the front spoiler got smashed off or something. I find the wheels fussy, and should be a more classic 5 spoke rally wheel instead of something you'd see on a luxury car (easy to change though). They need to be black though as a the brake dust is extreme and its not so noticeable on the black wheels. I do like the new front end (for the most part) and side vents. One odd choice is the rear logo looks like the obvious point where the latch release should be (e.g. VW), especially with that cutout, but they have it at the bottom lip - seems like an odd design choice. The 3 cyl is just fine. You'd never know it was a 3 cyl just driving it though it has nowhere near the tunability of the VW/Audi E888 and is quite thermally "fragile", hence the sub radiator which should be standard not optional. Nothing was mentioned about the rear diff clutch pack which on the current ones cuts out very quickly on track - wonder if that's been improved, or at least the temp threshold on the sensor raised? With The Golf going auto only next year, looks like Toyota will inherit the entire market for this kind of car - if only they could produce more of them! I'll probably get another one in 26'

did they actually get rid of the fog lights?

I love manual transmissions, and I love the rush of using the clutch with shifting. There are always going to be some advantages in how manual cars feel as opposed to an automatic.

However, I've always loved paddle shifters. Every time I feel those behind the steering wheel of a car, it produces a certain aura within the cabin. I feel invigorated and "giddy" as a kid eyeballing sweets in the candy store window. Even before starting a car with paddle shifters, the excitement for me begins. Ever since I was a child, I've always enjoyed the Formula 1 steering wheel design and layout, and that paddle-shift feature allows me the opportunity to capture some of that racing essence in my own driving experience.

Call me a dork for enjoying paddle shifters, but at least they offer me a chance to embrace the nostalgia of my childhood dream along with the "rush" factor of the feeling of near-professional levels of racing equipment.

You should photoshop the circuit edition wing onto the premium plus and see how it ties together with the new front bumper design. Or if you were to design a new wing what would it look like?

I may be in the demographic for people who would buy this with an automatic. It being a manual only has kept me from entertaining it as an option because I don’t know how to drive stick and honestly don’t care to, especially when my car is a commuter car and I’m in traffic, but I still appreciate a car being more sporty and a better driving experience, since I do love cars and enjoy driving.

I also think the GR looks much better than the standard Corolla hatch and looks are actually really important to me, I want to love looking at my car as I walk up to it, and this new one looks better than the previous.

I remember the days when cars had bumpers instead of comically big grills
Grills wich are mostly closed lol

When are you reviewing the new a6 e-tron?

It's dope that they're releasing an automatic, I don't know how to drive a manual and this is awesome news. PS: all manufacturers should have both options for their high performance vehicles, some folks are disabled, others like me don't know how to drive a stick shift, others want comfort. We all live in harmony, cheers!

Lots of people would want an automatic, people with bad knees, who live in severe winter areas and need to focus more on driving/dodging bad drivers. People who drive in and out of cities. Honestly I have had both, I would look at the AT for driving enjoyment. It's also looking like the automatic may be faster from what my stealership has been telling me.

5:30 when I first saw the facelift this was the EXACT detail that turned me off to it. I’m warming up to it really quickly but the fact that there’s no body colour base there is tripping me out

On the note of the loss of fog lights I would have to add some fogs or fog style rally lights. I wish they kept an option for a bigger spoiler. It looks like I may be adding one myself If i end up able to grab one of these.
