Blood pressure medicine recalls: Should you really stop taking them?

Several blood pressure medications have been recalled over concerns that an impurity in them can cause cancer. But doctors tell us the theoretical risk does not outweigh the harm that could be caused if someone stops taking their medications.

I had a heart attack back in October 2023. At that time my doctor told me it was extremely extremely important that I take all my medication‘s. I do not deviate from them in any way shape or form. Then when I ran out of my medication, I called my pharmacist. My pharmacist said I did not have any more refills that I needed to call my doctor so I called my doctor. My doctor said at this time then I would need to make an appointment For a check up but the appointment was not available until the next two months at that time. I then said well can you go ahead and send my prescription in and I will see you in two months. The doctor said no at this time I was very angry and I said to the doctor well I need my prescriptions. You said back in October that it was vital that I keep to my regiment and do not deviate from it at this time. The doctor said well you’ll be OK. We’ll see you in two months, I don’t understand back in October. I was assured if I did not take these medication’s I would die but now that it is time to get refills they did not want to give me a refill until I go in for a check up in which in my mind this is just my opinion that they are wanting to charge my insurance, so for the next three months cause I haven’t went yet to the doctor yet that’s upcoming. I will be out of some of my medication‘s so let’s see what happens.

I was put on Losartan because I was going through a lot of stress on my job. I start feeling shaky, I was dizzy as heck. He changed it to edarbyclor I was on that for 4 years, now that I have retired my reading of 100, 61, 78 I was told maybe I can come off the medication🤔I’m wondering what’s next.

Stopping I rather die of a heart attack then die of cancer did you ever die see somebody with cancer all the pain or the radiation treatments know thanks

Sentera cant say anything they almost killed my wife from giving her the wrong meds

This is one of the *very reasons why* I've stopped taking pharmaceutical drugs, & turned towards natural remedies, herbs & supplements in addition to diet, water & exercise.

All those drugs do, is make you worse!
