The race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is nearly tied ahead of Tuesday night's debate in Philadelphia. Trump is leading Harris by just 1 point, according to a new New York Times/Siena College poll. Harris maintains a 3.5-point lead nationally across all polls, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling average.

I feel Trump should answer all the questions to the point in the debate and not deviate from the topic as he has number of good policies would give him an edge. This is really needed to connect with the independent voters. Blue team just has money, no policies or past achievements to support her claims.

Harris is not a good candidate. She is a bad orator. A bade debater. She is seen to hide from interviews to cover up her weaknesses. And she is supposed to be a bad "boss" and executive leader -on top. Her staffers are famous to have run away and given up on her - for years. Etc etc etc. She should never have been chosen - and never would have been through primaries. She has her job for one reason only: Because Biden needed a black person (and of course ideally female) when he nominated his VP running mate during the BLM protests after the Floyd murder. Now the world is stuck with her - for all the wrong reasons - and one can only hope that in spite of all this she will win against someone that would be an even bigger problem.

It depends on which poll you look at as to who is ahead. Polls are only a snapshot in time, and they only question likely voters and no first-time or sporadic voters. The only poll that counts is on November 5.
