Mocha AE CC in Adobe After Effects 2019

Adobe After Effects 2019 includes an updated and improved Mocha AE for advanced planar tracking and masking.

In this quick overview, Mocha Product Manager Martin Brennand takes you through what is new in the light version of Mocha bundled inside After Effects CC 2019.

For anyone tearing their hair out trying to figure out how to apply the tracking data to a specific layer, make sure when you click the 'Create Track Data' button CLICK SO THE COG ICON IS ON next to your desired Mocha layer. The guy in the tutorial whizzes past this section too fast, and you're likely to miss it. I hope this helps at least one person :)

When I select apply export, following your steps it doesn't apply the track? I followed your Tutorial step-by-step and no dice? (May 2019) Is this being looked at? I'm currently on a bloody job! Christ...

I tracked everything in Mocha but I haven't figured out how to export the data to After Effects. Can you help me?

Method as described in video doesn't work for me. Either the video is wrong or there is a bug in this version of Mocha.

My shots look great in Mocha but when I apply the export data through the plugin, they look absolutely terrible. There are 3 measly options: Transform, Corner Pin (motion blur), and Corner Pin. All 3 of these, when applied, destroy the beautiful track I see when in Mocha. What the hell is going on? :(

In the tab "mocha" I do the tracking perfectly, frame by frame. But when I save the configuration and apply it to some object (image, video, null object through export option and layer export to)) it does not respect the size or the position. I literally can not make basic tracking work.

ummmm am I the only one that has absolutely no idea how to export a corner pin track since the menu buttons and overall user experience have been shifted around so poorly?

I did a black eye with "black solid" layers
I did a motion track and I succeeded
next time I wanted to do it again but now whenever I'm trying to track the black eye, it becomes really small and out of place
I don't know what I'm doing wrong or is it something wrong with after effects
please help.

Will the plugin be found in AE 2018? Because i bought mocha 2019 and can find the button in Ae 2018 in the effects panel..

He does a little edit @ 2:47 This is where something he did fucked it all up. He did rename the layer IN Mocha, so that must have done something maybe...Who knows. If I find out how to fix this I'll share it on here...TBC

Weird things happen, when tracking data is applied to the target layer. As it was mentioned before. The layer jumps somewhere only it knows. You have to clear this moment out. Now it is a useless tool. Strange to say that about a legendary utility. But it is real.

Well, the creators think we are genious and will get what is obvious to them... anyways ... when clicking create tracking data ... when a popup window appears click on the left side of the options so that the gear icon is appeared then it will take its tracking data ...

But click the little f**king gear icon at 3:09 or NOTHING happens. Wasted 2 days figuring that out.
Since when is a gear icon an "enable" button? Should be a check mark there.
