I found gnash from youtube recommendations and listened to a lot of his songs. When I came across this sing I thought about my ex/best friend/crush who has mental issues (not to make it sound bad or anything) and I've never given up on him. I've had panic attacks at the thought of not being with him and cried in the middle of class one time. I want to show him this song now, I've already claimed this as his and I's song, and he can't change that

The first song I ever heard gnash sing was ‘Happily Never After’ and I could hear his sadness and frustration through the song.

Now after hearing this lovely song I can see that he has gotten through those hardships and is doing better. I never knew that hearing about someone else’s happiness could make you this happy.

This made me think about my recent break up and I ended up writing a letter for her (it was just me thanking her basically for lighting a fire in me and giving me a purpose.). I don't think I'll ever show it to her though, it seems inappropriate sense we're not together anymore.

Edit: woah thabks for the likes and replies everyone I'll think about sending it and let everyone know how it turned out but for now I'm still quite sore about the whole ordeal.

Edit: Forgot about this, so I did send it but i’m not sure it went through or if she just didn’t know what to say. She invited me to a party almost a year later and I wasn’t going to go but all our friends were friends so one of them convinced me. It hurt at first and I was definitely still salty but over the party/sleepover it felt like I was moving on. She was still a great person even though she was aromatic (which is why I broke up with her, we didn’t know that was a thing at the time.) It didn’t immediately make everything better but we got back to becoming good friends.
