That’s terrifying. It wouldn’t be as dangerous if Waldo simply gored the person who knew it’s location based off of visuals alone but not the people who can inference where they are based on noise. In this case, even if you hear Waldo and can figure out where he is based off of sound and your knowledge of a location, you’re fucked and are next for the taking.

It’s like 096 in a way, except amped up to include simply knowing where he is. Scary

In one of the 096 broadcasts they warned civilians against getting seen by it without mentioning at all that it shouldn't be seen, so that people would just simply hide instead of trying to get close to it while only trying not to look at it. But in this one they let civilians know that waldo is somewhere near them which will definitely get them all fucked up eventually.

the problem is saying "in your area" it immediately brings up what you believe as your area which is descriptive enough for 4885's effect to trigger

This is the one and ONLY reason I can think of, as to why you'd want or need a picture of SCP-096 around, say in an envelope in a locked vault somewhere. If enough people had that?

They could vividly imagine being in the room with SCP-096, because after looking at the picture, they would be. Their sacrifice wouldn't be in vain though as SCP-4885 then shows up. 4885 shows up, violating the corpse and becoming aware of 096 through hearing and scent (not that it matters, as 096 is already there and locked on target, be it the corpse or Wally/Waldo). 096 attacks and devours 4885 and the corpse both. Then gets split and torn up by 4885, Now 4885 KNOWS he just stepped OUT OF 096 thanks to his sense of touch, which brings 096 back (a copy, not the corpse of him).

Yes, it's imperfect because SCP-4885 lacks eyes (nice try), but not other senses. And also because the appearance of the corpse changes (again, nice try). Either way, either a) 096 FINALLY FUCKING DIES DEAD, or b) both anomalies get stuck in a loop together until nuclear weapons can be used on the cities surrounding the houses where the "invinclbleh insta-killy-kill" loop is taking place, because reasons, or because "Ooops", either one will do. Yes, lots of collateral damage but you stand a reasonable chance at being RID OF at least one of, if not both of, these pain-in-the-ass unkillable monstrosities.
