My very favorite of all Post Beatle releases, Dave! McCartney, the album was very instrumental to me becoming a songwriter!

I have played this album end to end more than any other album I’ve ever known!

As usual your coverage is impeccable! Chock full of accurate info, and believe me, I know what it takes to put together an accurate and entertaining version of said events!

Top notch, Dave!

Hi Dave, Another beautiful sampling of those great Apple lps ! It's hard to find early copies that don't show some blemishes on the black part of that cover, though. Yours look great !! 16 Beatles songs ? That's TOUGH. But I agree with you for the start--Please Please Me is everything that is so special about the early Beatles sound ! Ok, a quick few hours nap and up to watch the Queen's funeral. Be safe and see you next week, my friend !

Great collection of Paul's first album.I love the one man band albums. One can only imagine what these songs would have sounded like had the four stayed together a bit longer.

Another great vid BeatleDave.
Paul was desperate to leave the Apple label in the 1970s. Presumably that's why he had all his solo albums reissued on the Capitol label when he signed his new contract with EMI in 1976.
I bought my copy of "McCartney" in 1977 and was bitterly disappointed to find out when I got it home it didn't have the familiar Apple label I was expecting. I guess though having it on Capitol nearly 50 years later isn't too bad.

Hi, Dave. Another wonderful set of albums, in this case the 1st solo McCartney album. I particularly like the shiny lamination on your British releases. All the North American albums have that matte finish. This album I feel is McCartney going back to his roots as far as actual recording of the tracks, simple 4 track and acoustics. I know another fellow who recorded ' Every Night ' at home and did an awesome job recording in the same way McCartney would. Lol Another great video filled with some interesting information. Have a great week, cheers.

Hi Dave Great solo Beatles episode. I love how after all these years that they are still in great condition. You had a great question from John. Something is one of my favourites. I would add Yesterday, The Long and Winding Road and Let It Be. Will you be watching the Queen's funeral tomorrow? I know I will be. Take care and see you next Sunday for the next in the Apple series.

Great video Dave. I wouldn't know where to begin to pick 16 favorite tunes for an album? Some tracks i would definetly have would be The Word, Dear Prudence Mother Nature's Son and the album version of Let it Be. Have a great week mate and stay safe.

It’s so weird to see McCartney on anything other than Apple! But, in The UK, the 1979 reissue was Capitol..America got it through his new deal with Columbia Records. (Which were all reissued between Wings’ “Back To The Egg” in 1979 and “McCartney II” in 1980.)

Beatle Dave- hey, how are you doing these days; as Autumn is teasing our E.TN. world of hills, mountains& valleys. Some yr.s, we do have er, a, you know- beautiful colors during Fall. Next time y'all come to the States; think you'd like it around here; if the plans to your liking.
We've always loved this record & keep giving a proper listen at least once, twice annually. Have a couple versions, formats, etc.Even got a ' military store'copy. Some them stores here stamped their id s front& ctr.( Not really sure why) And, got a UK one, this original Paul lp.Beatle D, reckon you'll be doing'Archive' videos for all the issues ??
We think it sounds great! Really, don't think heard a bad copy this one; even my Columbia release .
Fast forwarding many yr.s in his repuartuire (sp)?, ha to Memory almost Full', c Xtra tracks. Listened to half it, this day, on my new Edifier, powered speakers. Dave, for the $; they sound real nice, down rite ' bitchin'! Think ' Memory' pretty good; we like most numbers.Do you, & is it there, in your awesome collection, on vinyl ? Reckon it's time to go& feed them critters in the barn. Top o' the Evening to ya' H.jr.

Great stuff. I bought the mc cartney cd reissue recently after having an 1980s vinyl pressing for a long time. It's really lovely with the mini gatefold. Hey How can you resist not opening those sealed 8 track tapes and sometimes records? 😁
