As a former owner of a Black Sapphire/Saddle Brown DCT, it was an absolute head turner. Even the Indy Shop Owner I took it to for service loved it, given that it was much RARER than an M3.

I ordered a 2013 335is brand new and it’s the only car I regret selling. I cross shopped it with the E92 M3, but the 335is was simply more fun. The torque and exhaust note was intoxicating. I’m a little bummed to see so many of these pretty trashed now, they’ve gotten to the price point where you’re seeing tons of eBay mods and clean cars are hard to find.

I Have the IS 2011 black sapphire cream interior with the DCT. Went single turbo when the twins went out and a custom tune. Incredible vehicle, I'll keep it as long as possible

Don't forget the 370lb ft tq overboost that you'd get for 7 seconds. Paired with launch control, it was like a rocket. I owned an '11 Space Grey on black. Loved it. Sold it last year to buy a M340xi for my growing family. The girl who bought it, did a lot of work but a deer totalled it unfortunately. Definitely a lot fewer 335is' out there.

Some ppl forget that the 2011-2016 BMW Z4 35i + 35is also come with a N54 DCT. Some of the interior colors are epic.

Crazy my friend got a is with the black exterior and red guts, insane. You dot. See them often, but as a dct. Anyway, yes it came with those sick wheels as well and that e92 silhouette is timeless.. I love it..

i have a 2011 335i xDrive with full sport pkg on the interior and exterior. but lowkey wish i got a 335is with either manual or DCT

the M3 of the time was a problematic V8 that had just come out. The 335is had the N54 engine to handle the extra boost, not the N55 which was in all the other 3's. The N54 has a stronger more forged bottom end and rotating gear in the engine. It also came with the twin clutch tranny only the M3 had otherwise. The only thing missing is an lsd, the electronic system just doesn't cut it. $3, 500 USD installed I think.
The new M3's are now this engine optimized with forged pistons and methanol. The 335is is the german version of a V8. Its hard to keep it from spinning up on the street and the dct is brilliant. This, is the car to have.
