Well, now we have an idea that you exist! Thank you for the reface CP video. You're a GREAT musician! Next time I'm in LA I'll try to come see your perform. Thanks again! Regards, Blake--Yamaha Synthesizers.

For not being a “review” of the Reface CP, this is probably the best review of this keyboard I’ve seen.

Aimee has the most soothing voice on the internet. Come for the lesson, stay just to hear her talk.

3 Tips for this amazing little thing:

1) Turn unit off hold down the lowest D and turn unit back on, this will mute the speakers when you use the outputs. The unit automatically mutes when you plug in the headphones, but not the outputs.

2) The attack delay is an infinite looper if you turn it all the up.

3) And the piano one you mentioned. I think the knob stays easier between the RdII and Wr.

Wow. Came for my ignorance about this keyboard, stayed for the entire video because of talent, jazz and your incredible voice 😍

I came for the review, and stayed for the music. You're great... and so is Mike Scott (on guitar)!! What a great treat! ❤

It works because of your amazing musicianship as a pair, and your guitarist's warm, balanced tone. Perfect simplicity.

Yamaha should be really pleased with this video. They should just send you a catalog and tell you to circle anything you want! This video probably doubled their sales! Thanks.

(Statement regarding the "hidden" piano in reface CP) "We are aware that many people have found an 'Easter Egg' acoustic piano Voice in their reface CP. This particular voice is something we use for internal testing. We use this voice because it takes up very little space and provides an easy way for us to test various aspects of our instruments. This voice is purely for internal testing and is not reflective of our desire to bring you incredibly high-quality, expressive instrument Voices that are perfectly matched to both the keyboard and effects. However, if this voice works for you as-is and you can find a way to easily re-create, there's no harm to your reface CP in using it. Apologies for our delay in responding." (Yamaha, 12 September 2018)

Great video!

Your enthusiasm for this keyboard makes me smile. As a blind keyboardist, I had the same experience you did when I found all of those keyboards on a cardboard rack in a music store about seven years ago, and I’m like finally a keyboard made for me with no screen that I can actually navigate and I bought the CP. But I actually ended up taking it back because the speakers on board were so crappy and I got another one and they were still crappy, but I’d fallen in love with it by then, and I like to take it to campfires and just play with another acoustic guitarist right with the onboard speakers on the keyboard. I also found the video on YouTube that showed me how to get to that hidden piano sound and that’s my favorite sound on there that I probably use the most. But I just love it. I can’t believe they’re still making it. I put a guitar strap on it. I got the guitar strap attachment and I just strapped it around my hips so that I can keep it on my lap and play it with a sustained pedal And everything from Led Zeppelin to Grateful Dead Shakedown street with the wah. Stevie wonder higher ground. All kinds of stuff. I have great big fat fingers and I don’t mind the small keys. I just love that I could take it on the plane in the gator case I use little wireless transmitter and receiver, and I can sit out there in the bar and play with the band, it’s great.

awesome video - yamaha should give you a sponsorship - best video I've ever seen on a CP reface - real life examples

In addition to being talented, you are so natural and authentic... Just lovable!

One talented lady! And the guitarist is a perfect fit. You two compliment each other like hand and glove! I have a lot of Yamaha equipment, DX7, DM2000 board, KX88 controller and lots of modules from the past. Love them all! Never had to repair one in 40 years.

Hi, I've had the CP for many years and I love it! I have it next to my bed on a swivel stand and I use it every day, even when I'm flat n my back. I am disabled and have chronic pain. I have improved my keyboard skill using and use it to learn music theory, scales, modes, etc. I bought it immediatly after I learned about the hidden piano, I keep it on piano. I am also a bassest and woodwind player, great tips on the CP. love all your youtube vids! Thanks!

First of all, this was a terrific demonstration of that little instrument. I’m a gigging pro with a weighted 88 key keyboard and a portable Hammond organ on top, but there have definitely been some gigs where this would have been just perfect. I’m seriously going to check it out.

As a jazzer, I so loved the swinging quality of your improvisations. And I so want to give props to Mike – I’m sure you know this already, but you guys have terrific chemistry, staying out of each other‘s way, and turning a simple duo into more than that.

And while I’m heaping on praise, I’ve heard about “ground news” for a while, but that’s another thing that your video has inspired me to look into. All around, I’m glad I listened while I went for my morning walk with the dogs. Be well.

I have been consistently shocked by how good those CPs sound. They pop up all over the place and every time they sound amazing and so responsive

I thought I'd never use the toy piano setting either - but then I needed a bell sound for a Christmas gig and toy piano was perfect!

I played a gig once with two ReFace units (the CP and the YC). I stood up to play. And the units were on a scissor stand that had a second tier. The stage was incredibly tiny, so this small footprint setup was PERFECT!

Yamaha may not know who you are, but if you ever get to talk to them, tell them you just sold me a CP and they owe you commission.

I've watched tons of Reface CP review videos and could never make up my mind about buying one. Now I've watched yours, and you even made it clear it's NOT a review, but what you got out of that little guy was so inspiring, I just had to open another browser tab and order one.

And may I just say: yours is a truly breathtaking voice, you got amazing talent, plus an awesome guitar player, and your selection & arrangement of songs is really cool. Thank you for this fantastic video!
