Does James Newton-Thomas believe in philosophical zombies? I think Daniel Dennett refuted the idea of philosophical zombies in his book "Brainchildren, Essays on Designing Minds."

Does James have a good argument against Dennet? I've never heard a good one, a lot of philosophers have tried but I don't think they have succeeded.

Got any interviews with James on your channel where he talks about Dennet's argument?

I do have two interviews with James Not sure if he had directly refuted Dennet in either, though they are worth a watch.
== One has two parts:

watch?v=TjVliB3L_qQ
== The other has just one:

I do believe James does believe in philosophical zombies, and thinks that Dennet is wrong

Of course we're still human. Is an amputee any less human because they are missing a piece? Actually, an even more relevant example is one where people have *already* had their sexual desire removed... they are called eunuchs. Is a eunuch any less of a human being?

Regardless, I don't think "maintaining humanity" should be a priority. It definitely isn't for me. That's the whole point of transhumanism. It's in the fucking name.
