Is Warren Buffett really ignorant about retirement? Retirement isn't about becoming physically unable to work, retirement is about leaving your 9 to 5 job to pursue things that give you pleasure in life other than work. Not everyone makes a billion dollars every time they exhale. If I was doing that I probably wouldn't sleep, never mind retire. I love my job. They treat me very well. I get plenty of vacation, but I don't want to die working for a big corporation. I want to spend time living a life where I decide when to wake up in the morning, I decide what I want to do every day, I want to travel the world, perhaps play an instrument, whatever. One needs to retire to participate in *that* style of life. You know. Most of the (1st) world.
