Some general thoughts

the exploration is PEAK and the flying is instrumental to ultimately exploring this game. The music that plays every time you start to fly is a good song. the only problem is every time you start to fly, the song plays anew. the same could be said for combat, tyrant combat, overdrive, and enter new areas, but the flight song is the most egregious imo because it kills immersion for me.

I hope monolith soft notes this, because a playlist option would be an easy fix that would make the game significantly more enjoyable and replayable.

I own the Wii U version. The Gamepad implementation makes it look better cause the screen isn't cluttered and the map and items are displayed on gamepad. I, As a Wii U owner get to play NOW. Not March. So I'll buy the Definitive edition next year. All the videos of switch owners drooling makes me smile. Up to recently alot of Xenoblade fans dismissed this game. I E. It's not in the same series that's chronological. But now that it's coming to the switch it's a solid banger. P S. I'm booting up my copy and ready to play. Join me in March y'all . 😊

Just started a new play through last night. Gonna get a crap ton of treasure sensors and start farming early. Gonna see how much I can get without tickets. Wish me luck

"Understanding the Gameplay"
No matter if its the Morale Level, TP, No Healer, Soul Voices, Overdrive, Skells and so on, the main issue back in the Original XCX version was that it came out in 2015 with essentially no ingame tutorial. Tutorial was outsourced into an external eManual which not many seam to have read. Which ofc leads to them running into the first challenging Boss in chapter 4 (Goethia) and getting stuck there because they didnt understand anything. See in 2015 people expected ingame tutorials, that has become the standard by that time. Monolith Soft still struggled with XC2 to make a good Ingame Tutorial. But after having played XCDE and XC3 im pretty sure they understand how to tutorial now, and i assume they will fix this in the XCXDE version and it will be a non issue going forward.
