was diagnosed 4 years ago with AFifb. Had the ablation procedure and medication for the rest of my life. Became more active by walking and riding my bike. But just last week, went back to my heart doctor because over the past several weeks, I've noticed an uptick in my heart rate and between my Fitbit and Oura ring I recognize there was a problem. My doctor confirmed after having several tests performed that I have Afifb again. So next week I have a appointment with the Doctor who performed my procedure the last time. My medication on 1 has doubled, switched to another medication and put back on blood thinners for now. But I can now pinpoint what has caused this and sleep apnea. My sleep, after I get back to rhythm sinus once again, will quickly return to working out again, but go do the sleep test. My doctor has already got approval for the sleep apnea tests, but didn't know until this time around that this can cause AFifb. So just because you have the procedure once, don't be so quick to dismiss that it's in the past, because I'm learning now that it can comeback if you're not making the lifestyle changes you need to do.
