Beautiful ride. I’m digging the metallic blue steering wheel, old-school.

It's a beauty. I would be afraid to take it out in the general public where they have very little respect for their cars or they have lack of basic driving skills (lack of courtesy as well).

As beautiful as that automobile is, it still would not be practical nor really much fun to own. It's TOO beautiful and every trip out onto the street would be an excursion of extreme tension waiting for the first passing car to sling a rock up and damage it.

I had a 66 Mustang Fastback for 30 years in original condition. I bought from a neighbor lady in 77 with 30, 000 miles on it. It remained in beautiful condition for the 30 years I had it, but I never had to spend any money on body nor paint. It remained extra clean, original. THAT was fun to drive and take to local shows and parades. Your's is just damned expensively restored. I'd be terrified to take it out.
My wife and I and our kids had countless hours of fun in the Stang. We drove it everywhere, even on long trips.
I paid $1200 for it in 77. I sold it for $39, 000 in 07 having put very little money into it over 30 REALLY good maintenance and loving care. It was all still original when I sold it.
66 Fastback dark blue with the wide white racing stripe, light blue Pony interior and a 289 manual 4-speed under the hood. I admit, that money was great, but I do miss that car, especially since I'm getting ready to retire.
