As with every year, Ben, the answers you give in the interview affects your starting car. If you answer them all, you'll be placed in the middle of the pecking order (at least as far as the performance index goes, on track performance is another thing). There is a 'no comment' option, and if you choose that, you will be right at the bottom of the list with zero upgrades pre-installed.

haven't been here in a long time but it's nice to see that things don't change.

I just got a wheel this year for the first time for an F1 game ever. I hit time trials to "learn how to drive" and get a feel for braking and power delivery with no assists for the first time ever as well.

After I managed a 105.5 at Austria and a 132 flat at Bahrain, I headed into My Team. The My Team car is so different. The setup I had for time trial I had to tweak. I literally spent hours getting a setup right for me. Its very lock resistant and tolerant of power delivery, no assists (except automatic, its been hard enough to learn braking and accelerating without shifting in the picture, so that'll come later, I do downshift myself into corners to help slow the car, auto shifts down to slow).

I started on AI 94, I couldn't even make the program targets. I redid my team and chose a new AI level, 90. (unable to change the AI level unless you're in very specific parts of the game is very frustrating, I dont understand why its like that). I was just making the times, except for quali sim. Barely scraped in a 132 flat and they wanted a 129-5 for quali.

I qualified 15th or 16th, cant recall, and teammate, Ollie Caldwell, 19th.

Race is a whole different story to having the track to yourself but I'm gonna take that on today. I got starts down pat but not at all used to the AI.
