About Our Guest
Born in Scotland, Shane was interested in cryptozoology as a young lad and eventually moved to San Diego, CA when he was a teenager. Shane has always been an avid outdoorsman, adventurer at heart, and interested in discovering new things. He loves tracking, hiking, fishing, hunting and testing his survivalist skills. In 1997, he started doing field research on the subject of Sasquatch and spoke with eyewitnesses who had possible encounters, primarily in the San Bernardino Mountains, Yosemite, and Northern California. Shane moved to Oregon in 2008 and continued his research in the Pacific Northwest. In 2011, his research became all too real to him when he had his own Sasquatch encounter. Shane’s passion, methodology, and perseverance along with his ambitions of furthering the research of Sasquatch, eventually led him to becoming a proud member of the Olympic Project and subsequently, a co-runner of the Project. He is a member of Project Zoobook, and is a co-host for the Monster X Radio podcast. Shane has also been involved in Sasquatch related documentaries, tv programs, radio shows, and podcasts.

Hi Michelle: Many people experiencing Tech issues with so much going on, internet outages, weather/fire related as well…

Watching the replay, Shane is amazing, as always…don’t know if he will mention that female humans who might be on their monthly menstrual cycle, should NOT be in the woods, increases the possibility of unwanted ‘attention’ from Sasquatch…DO use UNscented products like shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, lotions, make-up, UNscented laundry detergents/dryer sheets for your clothes - NO PERFUME, cologne, after-shave - I personally would NOT try wood knocks, calling out to Sasquatch - for the reason you mentioned Michelle, we do NOT know what the calls/wood knocks mean, which is important to the type of reaction we might receive.

They KNOW when we arrive, their hearing is exceptional hearing cars arrive, doors closing, & so on.

Their higher level of “knowing” & they can feel if our intention is to do harm, be disrespectful, if we are bringing weapons, & so much more. If we keep thoughts of good intent, they will know…we Indigenous believe they are Forest People, who were here before we humans came here.

Showing Respect goes a long way.

Similar like when you go out ‘ghost-hunting’ use the same type of Respect…pay attention to ‘thoughts’ in your mind to discern if they are your thoughts, or maybe they are using mind-speak to communicate with you.
