Movies are made through a process known as Filmmaking. And Filmmaking includes Film Preproduction, Production, Post production, Distribution, and Film Development.
1. Film Development Process: The screenplay is written, and financing for the film project is acquired
2. Pre Production process: Film preparations include casting actors, hiring the film crew, selecting locations, constructing film sets, renting camera and lights
3. Film Production process is the film photography process. Production process in film involves Directors, Actors, Cinematographers, Camera operators, Costume Designers, Make up artists, stunt coordinators, and visual effects artists.
4. What is postproduction? Postproduction involves video editing, music, color correction, sound mixing, visual effects, creating graphics and movie trailers.
5. Film distribution process could be indie film distribution, independent film distribution. Film distribution is done through film festivals, film distribution companies, sales agents, or self film distribution.
Independent filmmakers distribute their indie films or short films through popular digital platforms like Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, Vimeo, BitTorrent and YouTube. Film distribution also involves promotion and marketing.
